When we were sooooo young.

Gina and I took a trip to California when were first out of high school - about the age of 18 or 19 - to visit her brother Tom. This was our first adventure ever on our own - on the train to parts unknown. We had a wonderful time exploring LA, Santa Monica - and then up to Fort Ord, Calif to visit a friend - and saw a lot of San Francisco - quite a trip for two little NW Seattle gals. When we arrived back home we quickly got our scrap books together - went back to work - me at Boeing - and I think Gina went to work for Carnation dairy - always were active on the week-ends going to the Trianon Ballroom every week-end - and just having a fun time with friends/boy-friends. I was the first to get married and Gina was one of my bridesmaids - and I remember when we named our daughters she named her first girl Diane - and my daughter was Diana. We ended living quite a distance from each other - so didn't get together that often, but she and Tom did make it to Dean and I - our 50th Wedding Anniversary. I treasure all of my memories - growing up in Rainier Valley, Franklin High School - and then onto our new adult world and activities. I miss connecting with her thru e-mail and newsy Christmas letters. God has her in a wonderful place. Elaine
