Obituary for Keith Samuel Parsons

Keith Parsons, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, warrior of God and resident of Anacortes, WA went to be with the Lord on October 11th, 2017.

Keith is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marian Parsons, his son, Jim Parsons and wife Tashia, daughter Jeannine Weisser and husband Bruce, and daughter Charmaine Waddell and husband Harry, sister Joyce Helstrom as well as 5 granddaughters and 4 grandsons, and one great granddaughter.

Keith was born on April 25, 1931 in Merritton, Ontario, Canada to Earnest and Ellen Parsons. He and his family moved to Victoria, British Columbia during his teen years where he learned the electrical trade and worked as an electrician. Later, he moved to Hawaii where he continued to work as electrician and met his wife Marian. They were married in Stoney Plain Alberta, Canada in 1961 and moved to Sacramento, California and eventually to Marysville, Washington where they called home for many years, raising their 3 children and enjoying life to the fullest. Keith began selling real estate and eventually became a real estate developer. Keith and his wife Marian retired to Anacortes, Washington about 15 years ago.

Keith had many talents from singing opera, to playing piano and guitar, to painting amazing outdoor scenes, and he loved to make people laugh by telling the latest joke in town. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling the world, fishing, boating, being in the Canadian outdoors, reading books about history and WWII and watching a good game of NHL hockey. He was a devoted church member and an active member of Gideon’s International. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
