My sincere condolences to Scott's family and all those close to him. I was doing a google search of former sailors I served with. I ran across this sad news of Scott. I am saddened. We served only a short time together at NAS Whidbey Island, VAQ-134. He had a great love for life and sense of humor. His wit was admired by all who served with him. His success speaks for itself. Even though we knew each other for a short time, I will always remember him as a brother. A friend. A patriot. Thank you Scott, even 37 years later, for the memories. Fly Navy. Fly Scott. Schmo McCartney, where's the beef?

Have had the pleasure of knowing Scott for many years while at Boeing. Recently he came with our team to Iceland where he was his typical self, always joking. He must have given me ten big wet kisses during the week we were there, and no it wasn't on the lips! He will be dearly missed!
