Obituary for Beverly Jean Nelson

Born in Great Falls, Montana on May 28, 1936 to parents Richard and Wilma Clark.

Bev enjoyed riding horses at her Aunt and Uncle’s dude ranch. She spent her high school summers there. She also enjoyed ice skating.

At the age of thirteen, Beverly’s father died. Her mother passed when Bev was 37.

Bev attended Linfield College in Great Falls. Her graduate studies were completed at Oregon State. Bev met her husband Bob at Linfield College, and they married in 1958. She taught school in Triangle Lake, Oregon.
Bob and Bev welcomed their first son Ray in 1963.

Their second son Clark was born in 1966.They moved the family to Monroe, Washington in 1969.
Beverly taught as a substitute teacher at the local high school. She opened and operated a Christian bookstore in Monroe as well.
Bob retired in 1998. Bev and Bob moved to Sequim, and lived there for 8 years. In 2006, the couple moved to Oak Harbor. Bob died in 2014.
Bev faithfully continued her passion to share her faith, active in Bible studies in the area for many years.

She leaves behind her son, Ray and his wife Maxine; grandchildren Brianna, Jacob and Josh. Her son Clark, and his wife Dawn; grandchildren Hope and Haley, as well as her close cousin Mary Lou Knox from Seattle who took the time to call her every day /Beverly has other cousins in Norway as well.

Bev is preceded in death by her husband, grandparents, mother, father and grandson Isaac.
