Obituary for Jack C. Beaver

Jack Clayton Beaver, age 77, passed away in his home in Oak Harbor, Washington on January 3, 2024. Jack was born on December 1, 1946 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Berwick Area Joint School System High School.

After Jack graduated he went on to join the United States Navy in September of 1965 and separated from service in September of 1971. After his service in the military he sought out to become an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance. 1985 brought Jack to another adventure becoming a charter boat captain, when he started Whidbey Charters. Jack was an avid fisherman and enjoyed his life fishing for salmon in the Puget Sound and areas in Oregon on the Columbia River. The Pacific Northwest was Jack's playground where he delighted in camping and exploring old logging roads with his family and friends. He built and remodeled several homes in his life as a self taught carpenter.

Jack outlived most of his family and friends throughout his life and had become introverted about his life when the onset of COPD dampened his physical ability to do most things. He always had a positive outlook towards life and appreciated sitting on the porch listening to the birds and feeding the deer apples.

There will be no funeral services at this time, a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
