Obituary for Linda Lee Lundgren

Linda (Olsen) Lundgren (12-23-46 – 05-03-22)

Linda passed away peacefully after a battle with ongoing health problems. Born in Seattle to Edwin and Betty Olsen, Linda was known throughout her lifetime for her effervescent personality and independent spirit. A graduate of Seattle’s Roosevelt HS, Linda attended Cornish College before marrying George Lundgren with whom she settled in Santa Rosa, CA. There, they built a house together and Linda owned and operated a stained-glass business.

When her marriage ended, Linda moved back to Washington state where she settled on Whidbey Island. She purchased a building in Langley, remodeled it with help from her father, and owned and operated her interior design business “Islanddesign” for 30 years. During this time, she met Jon Eric (Eric) DeGooyer with whom she lived out her life for 25 years in the beautiful Baby Island house that she loved and enjoyed. Linda is preceded in death by her parents. In addition to Eric, she is survived by her sister Christine Zeller.
