Obituary for Lucena Cadapan Casusi
Lucena Cadapan Casusi, 85 years old of Oak Harbor Washington. She passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2023 after a long battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma.
Lucena was born on July 1, 1937, to the late Luis and Herminia Cadapan of Paete, Laguna Philippines. After high school, she moved to Manila to study nursing and met Jose Bustamante Casusi while doing her internship. Lucena and Jose wed on March 9, 1958 and were married for 56 years before Jose's passing in 2016. They were blessed with four children.
She is survived by her two brothers Elso and Francisco Cadapan, as well as her four children and their spouses, Claro Alejandro and Geraldine Biando Casusi, Evelyn and Siegfried Mueller, Ray and MaryAnn Casusi, and Myra Cynthia Lasquety.
Lucena has six grandchildren, Henry JC Mueller, Kevin Casusi, Gerald Biando, Christopher and Zyra Casusi, and Jessica Lasguety. Lucena has one great granddaughter, Penelope Jade Mueller.
Lucena is an avid reader and has collected many of her favorite books. She is a great cook and baker. She has a green thumb and loves gardening. Her most favorite thing to do is play Bingo and often visit the Casino.
A private viewing service with family only was done on June 19, 2023 and her Celebration of Life memorial was celebrated on June 27, 2023.
