It is with mixed emotions that we share the news of Lynn's passing. Her long and valiant struggle with cancer and complications is over as she passed away early in the morning on March 24, 2021. She was comforted by family and her husband of 50 years, Jim Brown of Oak Harbor, WA.
We know in our hearts that cancer has not won. Through all the difficulties she faced, some of which brought her to the doorstep of death even before this, she stood strong in her faith in the Lord. Her spirit is a testimony of hope. She dedicated her days to making everyone else’s better. Even as she was experiencing so much adversity, she was a gift to those around her. She was an encourager. She was a pillar. She was a warrior. She was a light. Her life revolved around others, as she loved all people fiercely.
Lynn was the biggest supporter and cheerleader of her three kids and her six grandkids. She is survived by her three children, Matt Brown, Bekka Gresham, and Benjamin Brown of Bellingham, Washington. Matt and Amy Brown live in Oakland, Michigan and have three children, Kathleen (17), Dale (15), and Camden (12). Bekka and John Gresham live in Leonard, Michigan and have three children, Chloe (12), Avery (10), Lexi (8). Lynn is also survived by her three sisters and their spouses, Cheryl (Ryan) Touchton of Marietta, GA, Jan (Rick) Harris of Brentwood, TN and Tina (Marc) Muncy of Clarksville, AR.
Lynn was an amazing person. She blessed everyone who knew her, as evidenced through the stories and memories that so many people have shared in the recent days.
She gave her all in everything she did, was loved by all who knew her, praised God through her actions and words, and loved her family with all her heart. A family celebration of life is being planned for this summer.
