Twenty-seven days short of 101, Margaret Elizabeth Siedentopf Wollas passed on March 15, 2023. She lived a long life devoted to her family and her Lord.
Margaret was born on April 12, 1922 in West Hammond, Illinois to Friedrich and Hermine Siedentopf. She was the 9th child in a family of ten. She grew up in Illinois and she moved to San Diego, California in February 1942. On the day she arrived, she met her future husband, Ralph Lynn Wollas. They married in Port Orchard, Washington on August 11, 1942. While Lynn was away serving with the Navy, Margaret worked at the Naval Supply Center.
Lynn and Marge lived in Southern California for years, moving to Washington in 1969, living in Puyallup and Gig Harbor before settling in Oak Harbor in 1988. Her husband Lynn passed in 1994.
Margaret loved crafting and quilting with her church group and dabbled in painting for fun. She was a long-time member of Concordia Lutheran Church and was a member of the choir and loved working at the Bazaar.
Margaret is survived by her Grandson, Tyson and his wife Teresa, from Oak Harbor, Washington; Great Granddaughter Moira, along with nieces Beth Tucciarone from Jonesboro, Arkansas; Currie Crees and her husband Terry from Phoenix, Arizona; nephews, Jeff Nabors, Fritz Beechler and Bruce Beechler from California, along with lots of wonderful family members living around the country.
Services will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church at 10 am on Wednesday, March 22nd with burial at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Gig Harbor, Washington.
