Rebecca Ann Wold, 84, of Oak Harbor, WA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Whidbey Health Medical Center in Coupeville, WA. She was surrounded by family.

She was born May 9, 1936 in Bartlesville, OK, the daughter of Robert H and Edna Mae Wollert.
Becky grew up in Bartlesville, OK, where she enjoyed bike riding, reading, playing with dolls, and walking to the movie theater for the 5¢ matinees. She went to school from the primary grades through graduation at College High School.
Becky was accepted at the University of Tulsa where she earned a degree in Home Economics. She was also involved in the CHI Omega Sorority.

At the University, she met the love of her life, Donald G. Wold, and they were married May 26, 1957 in Bartlesville, OK. Don and Becky’s early years were spent in OK, Long Beach, CA, and Arlington Heights, IL.
Becky spent her time raising their two children, Lisa and Eric, while taking care of their home. She enjoyed many church activities, bird watching at the local arboretum, visiting with friends, reading, weaving, crocheting, and cross-stitch. They took many camping trips and she also loved being a girl-scout leader.

In 1977, the family moved to Anchorage, AK where they enjoyed being on their boat, “Featherstar,” traveling in Alaska, and were big hockey fans.
Becky worked for Harding Rhodes Law Firm as a receptionist. She also loved volunteering at the Log Cabin Visitor’s Center, where she was given the honor of ‘Volunteer of the Year’.
In 1995, Don and Becky moved to Oak Harbor, WA, to be near their children and grandchildren. Becky said she always wanted “to live on an island.” She loved her home, and always said it was her favorite. Gardening, the birds, and sitting outside on the patio swing brought her much joy.

They loved watching basketball, baseball, and football. They spent lots of time traveling in their 5th wheel through the western part of the US, as well as to the east coast to see the sights.
Becky was very active and involved in the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church. She loved being in blanket workshop, where she made hundreds of quilts that were sent overseas. She enjoyed her book discussion group and a special prayer group on Fridays.

Becky was also involved in Bible Study Fellowship for over 25 years.
Becky is known for her love of Starbucks and her “gold card,” reading hundreds of books, making the most amazing apple pie, and having the sweetest, most gracious spirit ever.

Her love of family was her whole heart. She prayed for each family member daily and loved phone calls, emails, and get-togethers. Next to her deep love for the Lord, nothing was more important to her.

Becky is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Grant Stevens, of Bellingham, WA; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Carrie Wold of Snohomish, WA; grandchildren: Katie (Mike) Carroll of Hoboken, NJ; Aaron Stevens of Seattle, WA; Rachel (Drew) Davison of Bellingham, WA; Nathan Stevens of Warwick, RI; Joshua (Christina) Stevens of Ferndale, WA; and great-grandchildren: Reese, Tenley, Tillman, Riley, Liam, Ava, and many special friends.

Becky will be laid to rest, next to her husband, Don, in the Scandinavian Cemetery in Rockford, IL.
