Obituary for Richard L. Albrecht

Richard Lee Albrecht, 78 passed away with the comfort of his wife beside him at Homeplace late at night on Wednesday October 12, 2022. Richard was born on March 12, 1944, to Alfred Frank Albrecht and Dorothy Heart in Gary, Indiana. Richard enlisted in the Naval Military at a young age and served our country for 21 years as a Trade Device Man, who worked with the Flight Simulators. Richard married his first wife, Dolores Meisch in 1965. They had three children, first born son, Charles Richard Albrecht, second child, Katrina Ann Albrecht, and third child, Eric Lee Albrecht. Richard met his current wife, Sharon Weber-Bernethy and they were wed on January 26,1981 in Oak Harbor. Richard welcomed three stepchildren Michael Bernethy, Dennis Bernethy and Joanne Weber. Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting in his earlier years. In his later years he enjoyed gardening his roses, golfing, watching sports and spending time with his wife. Richard also had a love for dancing.

Richard was survived by his Wife: Sharon Albrecht, Siblings: Donald Ray Albrecht. Biological children: Charles Richard Albrecht, Katrina Ann Hoefs and her husband Dennis, Eric Lee Albrecht. Step-children Michael Bernethy and his wife Sharon Bernethy, step-grandchildren: Brain and Cynthia Bernethy. Dennis Bernethy. Joanne Weber and Step-grandchildren: Jacob Hoefs, Brandon Krause and his wife Shona, Chris, Andy and Steve Margis. Grandchildren: George Zachary Wolfe and wife Bethany Wolfe, great grandson: Lucas Wolfe. Joshua Wolfe and wife Sabrina Wolfe and great grandson son Grayson Wolfe, and great granddaughter Authera Wolfe. Granddaughter Kassandra Albrecht. Richard was preceded in death by his Brother Lawrence Albrecht, his Mother Dorothy Heart, his Father Alfred Albrecht and Brother Glenn Albrecht. Funeral services will be provided by Wallin-Stucky Funeral Home in Oak Harbor, WA on Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 12 noon. Burial will proceed the service at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
