Obituary for Stephen McCoy
Steve McCoy passed away on September 27, 2023 in Langley, Washington where he and his wife of 50 years, Bobbie, retired to enjoy the salty sea breezes and evergreens.
Steve was born on March 28, 1948 in Seattle, Washington and graduated from Sunnyside High School in 1966. He worked for 40 years as an accountant in the engineering industry. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Carie McCoy and Erin McCoy, grandson Sabah McCoy Šarić, and brother Michael McCoy, in addition to cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Steve loved exploring the hiking trails and coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, watching Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball, and spending quality time with his family. He also could be found cultivating dahlias, hydrangeas, and raspberries in the garden. His beloved daily summer walks with Bobbie included picking wild blackberries – pausing to enjoy a few for breakfast.
