We send along our sincere condolences to the entire family regarding the passing of Shirlie. For us personally, it's the marking of the end of an era. We almost felt we had been "adopted" into the Captain Whidbey Inn "Family" during the 1971/1974 time frame. We did our "Courting" at the Inn and were married on the lawn in 1972. Steve and Shirlie always welcomed us with such warmth and sincerity that we always felt "at home". The "good old days" are, now, truly gone. With saddened hearts, John and Jan Dill
