Tea time

I remember as a little girl my grandma would make sure to take me to the tea house in Coupeville once a year. She and my mom taught me the proper way to stir tea, ensuring I didn't scrap the inside of the cup with the metal spoon disturbing other guests. The also came with the traditional finger sandwiches of which the cucumber was one of my favorites. One time when we went in they were having a "contest" that if you found a sticker on the bottom of the cup you could select a small miniature tea set to bring home. The sticker happened to be under one of our glasses so my grandma helped me pick one out. The kettle looked like a little cottage and was themed the same throughout the set. I miss my grandma very much and wish she could be here now to have tea or just simply to see her again. I am also very grateful for my grandma and that I was able to share in graduating from high school with her before she passed. My grandma was an amazing woman, and she is dearly missed.
