Joaquin G Blas passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, three days short of his 64th birthday. “Junior” as he was known to many, was born October 21, 1952 in Sinajana, Guam to Joaquin and Maria Blas. He was raised and attended school in Sinajana. In 1972 he left Guam and moved to Oak Harbor, WA.

Joaquin was a veteran of military service, serving four years in the US Army. After he left the military he worked numerous construction and roofing jobs in both Washington and Hawaii.

Joaquin married in 1982 and is the father of three children, Tylon, Tanner and Tiana. He loved to fish and cook and was always there to help anyone with anything.
Joaquin is survived by his children, Tylon, Tanner, and Tianna. Also surviving are brother, Anthony Blas of Texas and sister Guadalupe Trimble of Oak Harbor, WA.

A funeral mass for Joaquin will be celebrated on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St Augustine Catholic Church in Oak Harbor with the Rev. Paul Pluth, JCL presiding. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
