Condolence From: Dan Summerall
Condolence: I served with Bill when he was the Executive Officer of my first Navy squadron. Although I was a very junior officer and he was a Commander, he was always a very cordial person. I flew several times with him and he was a very good pilot and instructor. Patti and I were also lucky enough to visit with both Bill and Lola when we had a squadron reunion in Italy. Lots of fun was had by all. Our prayers are with the family.

Condolence: It is sad when a friend passes away. Bill was only a few years older than me, and this forces me to recognize my own mortality.

Bill and I were members of the Oak Harbor Yacht Club. We had in common our love of boating and would seek each other out at club functions. I enjoyed my time with Bill and sharing a beer together. Bill and Lola were guests on my boat several times for Lighted Boat Parade and Opening Day celebrations.

I will miss Bill and share Lola’s grief.
