Condolences

Condolence From: Jared
Condolence: Mr. Milat was my principal at Olympic View Elementary for all six years I went there. I got a swat from him in the first grade and the sixth grade in his office from some misdeed I did! However, once he was done with the punishment, the slate was clean and you could go on. Over the years, I remember seeing his house across the fields from the middle school when playing soccer and would see him from time to time. A simple nod and we both recognized each other. He ranks up there with Claude Harvey and Sid Parker as principals to remember!

Condolence: Mike Milat was my principal at Olympic view and worked with my mom Sheila for many years. I was always impressed with how he worked with kids and staff alike. I am now an educator myself and I know the lessons I learned from watching Mr. Milat has a huge influence on how I work with kids to this day. His fairness, his ability to work with people on all levels, and his strong ethical character will live on in so many of us. My condolences and thoughts are with you.

Condolence: The world was a better place with Mr. Milat and his smile. I loved living only a few houses from his family in grade school and was not happy when they moved only a few miles away. I always laughed when he asked me if I had been a "good boy". My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. May you always remember what a positive impact Mr. Milat had on many lives and the community in which he lived.

Condolence: Mr. Milat was my principal at Olympic View Elementary. I remember him being very stern but friendly, and I had quite a few memorable (but mostly positive) trips to his office.

I will always remember the way he pronounced the word "guarantee" as "Gar-untee". Weird thing to remember, but it always stuck with me. You were a good man and a cherished member of our community, and you'll be missed.

Condolence: Mr. Milat was my principal at Olympic View Elementary, a fellow parishioner at St. Augustine's and our neighbor "accross the field." He always had a smile, kind words to say and good examples to follow. He touched so many lifes and he will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Condolence: Mr. Milat was my elementary school principal at Olympic View Elementary School from 1st grade until 5th grade 1981-1985..I always had the utmost respect for him. He was such a warm, caring, and compassionate principal. In 5th grade I was an office worker and remember that Mr. Milat had the best candy in his office! My father was in the Navy and would go on deployment for 6 months at a time and I always innately felt that I always wanted to make Mr. Milat proud when my own father was gone. What a wonderful, wonderful man.
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
