I had Franz for my German professor at Bellevue Community College from 1972-1974. I loved his classes and his passion. I was one of 20+ students that Franz took to his hometown in Germany for a month in 1973. Franz and I became good friends during that trip and spent a lot of happy, laughing times drinking and exploring northern and southern Germany with our group. We lost contact not long after I left BCC and moved on to the University of Washington, but my memories of that trip and interactions with Franz have always been some of my best memories. I'm sure I have pictures of Franz from that trip. If you're interested, feel free to email me and I'll look for them. Sorry for your loss, he was an amazing person!!
