Condolences to Coach Daughtery and his family. I think I only had him in 10th grade for PE, yet it's amazing how much I've remembered from that PE class, no other teacher or class comes close. One day, we were doing "the animal test" in the gym, among other things pushing football cushions around the stage. Another day, we did an outdoor test that I remember fairly vividly still; it included running from one corner of a football field to the other and back: up and down outdoor stairs, doing hurdles, running through a football maze, and climbing across goal posts, most of which while carrying a football, and all in 2 minutes. We did football drills one day, track and field events over multiple class sessions, rugby in the rain another. Coach D made PE fun, was incredibly creative, and made everyone feel valued.
